HISTORIA DE NUESTRA IGLESIA-HISTORY OF OUR CHURCH

	Pastor Javier Sotolongo y Pastor Medina, el primer dia que el Pastor Javier Sotolongo tomo el Pastorado de la Iglesia Bautista Estrella de Belen. La iglesia tuvo su comienzo en Diciembre de 1973, con el nombre de Iglesia Bautista "Estrella de Belén". Al inicio rentaron espacios en 2 o 3 lugares, hasta que comienzan a rentar un espacio en la Sunset Heights Baptist (actual Estrella de Belén).    En el año 1979 se jubila el Rev. Aníbal Espinosa y es aceptado como pastor el Rev. Reinaldo Medina. La iglesia crece y la congregación americana le regala el edificio a "Estrella de Belén". En el año 1990 se jubila el Rev. Medina y viene el Pastor Javier Sotolongo desde la ciudad de Buffalo, N.Y., su primer día en la iglesia fue Octubre 5, 1990. La iglesia continua creciendo.   The church had its beginning on December of 1973, with the name of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church. At the beginning, they rented spaces in 2 or 3 places, until they began to rent a space at Sunset Heights Baptist  (the current Star of Bethlehem). In 1979 Rev. Anibal Espinosa retires and Rev. Reinaldo Medina is accepted as new pastor. The church grows and the American Congregation gave the building as a gift to Star of Bethlehem. In 1990 Rev. Medina retires and Pastor Javier Sotolongo comes from the city of Buffalo, N.Y., his first day at the churh was October 5, 1990. The church continues to grow.
